Introduction
With Windows 7 and Windows Live Movie Maker, it’s easier than ever to create and share your own movies. Windows Movie Maker has been in every version of Windows since Me till XP and Vista, but it’s not in Windows 7. Now, it’s part of Windows Live Essentials, a free download that also includes tools for photos, instant messaging, email, social networking, and more.
Windows Live Essentials 2011 requires the following:

Operating system: 32- or 64-bit version of Windows 7, or Windows Vista with Service Pack 2 and the Platform Update for Windows Vista, or Windows Server 2008 R2, or Windows Server 2008 with Service Pack 2 and the Platform Update for Windows Server 2008.

Resolution: 1024 × 576 minimum

Graphics card: Windows Live Movie Maker requires a graphics card that supports DirectX 9 or higher and Shader Model 2 or higher.

2. A dialog box will open asking you if you want to run or save the setup file or even cancel it
3. Click on the arrow beside Save and click on Save As, browse to your desktop and click Save
The downloaded file will be located on your desktop, double click on it to run it
If you have UAC enabled, it will ask you if you want to allow this program to make changes to your computer, click yes to continue

To install all of these programs, click on the first option
To install only selected programs, then click on
6. Click on Choose the programs you want to install, unselect any program that you don’t desire to install and then click on Install
Make sure Photo Gallery and Movie Maker is selected
The Installation will start , to view its status, click onÂ
8. Once installation is completed, click on Close
To start Windows Live Movie Maker 2011, click on Start  then All Programs, and click on Windows Live Movie Maker

Movie Maker is a free video editing application that used to be included with every version of Windows since Windows Me till Windows Vista. However, With Windows 7, Windows Live Movie Maker 2011 is not preinstalled with Windows 7 by default. Its now part of Windows Live Essentials package.
